Responding to LGBTQIA+ survivors of Sexual Assault & Family Violence

Suitable for: Specialist workers in Sexual Assault and/or Family Violence roles and organisations, Counsellors and Trauma Practitioners.

This practice-focused workshop is designed to increase awareness and building capacity of the specialist sector to respond to the unique and often invisible intersections for LGBTQIA+ people of sexual assault, family and/or intimate partner violence.

It assumes participants have a working knowledge of:

  • Feminist, Trauma and Violence-Informed Practice, Strengths-based and Anti-oppressive practice frameworks

  • Comprehensive level of MARAM Framework & Training

  • LGBTQIA+ Inclusion Training

  • Capacity to engage in reflective & reflexive practice
