Trauma-Informed Practice (Generalist): 1 Day
This one day training on the foundations of Trauma-Informed Practice focused on practice application. The training combines neurobiology of trauma, intersectional understanding of trauma and violence, and somatic trauma recovery strategies. Queering Trauma-Informed Practice: 1 day
This training combines the foundations of Trauma-Informed Practice, including the neurobiology of trauma, creating safety and enabling agency. It focuses specifically on supporting LGBTQIA+ people who have experienced trauma, and examines the impact of dominant understandings of gender, sexuality and identity that often create barriers to support and safety. It links with principles of creating inclusive and culturally safe services aligned with Rainbow Tick processes.
Queering Trauma-Informed Practice: 1/2 Day Training*
This half-day training is for those with a strong understanding of Trauma-Informed practice who are focused on extending their knowledge and skills for specific responses to support LGBTQIA+ people who have experienced trauma.
Responding to LGBTQIA+ survivors of Sexual Assault & Family Violence
This practice focused workshop is designed specifically for specialist workers in Sexual Assault and/or Family Violence roles and organisations. It aims to increase awareness and building capacity of the specialist sector to respond to the unique and often invisible intersections for LGBTQIA+ people of sexual assault, family and/or intimate partner violence.
